What’s this? A Tattoo of the Week? Hells yeah! It’s been so long we posted on of these, we decided to give you all a double whammy of Dave Kruseman goodness this week. Here are some recently completed arm pieces that turned out fantastic and left us with two more extremely satisfied customers. Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention

Dave Kruseman and Neil Worth will be tattooing at this weekend’s Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention from February 4th-6th. If you’re there come on by the booth and say hi. Dave will be bringing some new prints!

The convention will be held at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel near 17th and Race Street in Philly. Tickets are $20 per day or $40 for the entire weekend. Children under 12 are free. Tickets will be sold only at the show. For all other information, please call 1-800-541-8239.

Hope everyone is staying safe and are at home or with family enjoying the holidays! It’s been a crazy month since we last posted, busy as all get out. It’s hard to believe that the year is almost at an end! 2010 has been an incredible year for us, so many great things have happened and we’ve made some amazing strides here in the shop. But we couldn’t have done any of it without you—our patrons, family and friends. And 2011 promises to be even better!

This is likely to be one of the last couple of posts we put up this year, so instead of a completed piece we thought we’d show a work in progress, something that is going to carry over into the new year. This week’s Tattoo of the Week is a cover up Dave recently started. As you can see he’ll be getting rid of some old faded lettering and exchange it for a sick eagle chest piece. Can’t wait to see this thing when it’s done!

18th Annual Richmond November Tattoo Arts Festival

We’re headed to Richmond tomorrow for the 18th Annual November Tattoo Arts Festival! Excited to see all our friends and do some fun tattoos. Dave’s weekend is booked but his Friday evening appointment canceled, so if anyone is interested in getting something, let us know. Held at the Holiday Inn on Midlothian Turnpike, the convention will feature tattooing by many world renowned tattoo artists and vendors, as well as several tattoo contests. Please visit www.birdltd.com for more information on attending artists. The convention is now accepting pre-registration, which is $30 dollars for each 3-day pass sold in advance of the show. You see them everywhere, but I’m not sure that the koi tattoo can ever really get old. There’s just something classic and dynamic about koi designs and our own Dave Kruseman can churn them out with the best of them. Simply stunning!

Who out there doesn’t love Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas? The 1993 stop motion animated classic had its own unique visual style—it was dark, offbeat, and weird—but it was also funny and touching. The movie was highly successful at the box office and has since garnered legions of hardcore fans. With that said, it’s no surprise that one of those fans would want to express their love for the movie’s two lovestruck characters, Jack Skellington and Sally, by getting a tattoo. This amazing piece of art was done by our very own, Neil Worth. Cool, huh?
